Energy Market Authority
Mr Soh Sai Bor has served in the public service for over 15 years, mainly in the Energy Market Authority (EMA) of Singapore. As a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, EMA’s main goals are to ensure a reliable and secure energy supply, promote effective competition in the energy market and develop a dynamic and sustainable energy sector in Singapore. In his current role as Assistant Chief Executive, Mr Soh leads the economic regulation functions in the EMA. These include development of the Singapore energy (electricity and gas) market to enhance economic efficiency through competition in both the wholesale and retail sectors, as well as economic regulation of the natural monopolies.
